Medical Interview Preparation
US Residency and Australian & UK Fellowship Interviews
Present your experience clearly. Explain your decisions. Show what you can bring to the team.
You have the clinical experience—but explaining it clearly under interview pressure takes practice.
This 50-minute, one-to-one interview preparation session gives you focused practice and practical feedback to help you communicate your strengths, organise your answers and present yourself professionally.
Who is this session for?
Doctors preparing for:
US residency program interviews
Australian fellowship interviews
UK fellowship interviews
What will we practise?
The session focuses on your interview needs and may include:
Core questions: Introduce yourself, explain your career direction and discuss your interest in the position or program.
CV-related questions: Talk clearly about your training, clinical experience, achievements and career transitions.
Behavioural questions: Use examples from your experience to explain how you handle challenges, work with others and learn from difficult situations.
Short case presentations, if required: Organise a clinical case so your reasoning and priorities are easy to follow.
You will receive guidance on using the SPARK structure for behavioural answers, helping you build a clear response around a relevant example.
The aim is to help you develop thoughtful answers in your own words, with enough structure to stay focused under pressure.
